This is a tasty gingerbread recipe that you can use for gingerbread houses you’re going to actually want to eat! Great for gingerbread parties
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
5 oz molasses
5 oz honey
2 tsps baking soda
1 1/2 tsps cinnamon
1 1/2 tsps ginger
1/3 teaspoon salt
6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, ginger, cinnamon and baking soda. Whisk well. Set aside
- In a mixing bowl using a paddle attachment, Mix butter and sugar together until well combined
- Add eggs; mix until combined
- Add molasses and honey; mix until combined
- Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients.
- Wrap dough
- Let the dough rest and firm up in the refrigerator overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Roll out the dough; cut out pattern with a sharp knife; ensure you do not stretch the dough
- Bake for 25 min
